During a break from college "slumming" I was intrigued by paddling with gradient and not just fishing the resaca in a canoe in the backyard of my childhood home. I had been several times down local streams and felt like I wanted MORE. I finally bought my own boat and never looked back. The progression over the next 5 years led to friendships, heartaches, and pain.... just what I was looking for.
